Kristin Kaplan Holsworth is the granddaughter of R.W. “Buzz” Kaplan. Buzz and Kristin began writing his autobiography together in 2000, starting with stories of Buzz’s childhood and army years. When Buzz passed away in a plane crash in June 2002, Kristin continued to add to the book using stories from Buzz’s journals. She also called upon Buzz’s friends and family to contribute stories to the book.

Kristin grew up in Owatonna, Minnesota and graduated from Owatonna High School in 2003. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota in 2007 and continued her studies at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, graduating as a Doctor of Pharmacy in 2011. Kristin lives in St. Paul, Minnesota and is excited to share her first book, R.W. “Buzz” Kaplan: The Life of an Adventurer.
